Maintenance details

(1) Before use, the overflow part of the pipe and valve body should be cleaned with water to prevent the residual iron filings and other impurities from entering the inner cavity of the valve body.

(2) As usual, PTFE is used as sealing material for soft seal ball valve, and metal surfacing is used for hard seal ball valve. If it is necessary to clean the pipeline ball valve, care should be taken to prevent leakage due to damage of sealing ring during disassembly.

(3) Long term outdoor storage will lead to corrosion of the body and parts of the electric eccentric ball valve, which can not be used normally.  When the ball valve is stored, it should be rainproof, waterproof and moisture-proof, and the flange cover should be tightly covered. Flange ball valves stored for more than 12 months should be retested to ensure stable performance.

(4) When disassembling, the bolts and nuts on the flange should be fixed first, then all the nuts should be slightly tightened, and then fixed with strength. If the individual nuts are fixed by force first, and then other nuts are fixed, the gasket surface will be damaged or cracked due to uneven internal force between flange surfaces, resulting in medium leakage from valve flange butt joint.

(5) In the closed state, there is still some residual medium in the valve body, which also bears a certain pressure. Before overhauling the flange ball valve, close the shut-off valve in front of the ball valve, open the flange ball valve to be overhauled, and completely release the internal pressure of the valve body.

(6) If the electric eccentric ball valve is cleaned, the solvent used must not conflict with the parts to be cleaned and not corrode. If it is a gas ball valve, it can be cleaned with gasoline.

(7) Other parts can be cleaned with reclaimed water. When cleaning, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the residual dust, oil and other attachments. If it cannot be cleaned with clean water, it can be cleaned with alcohol and other cleaning agents on the premise of not damaging the valve body and parts. After cleaning, the assembly can be carried out after the cleaning agent volatilizes completely.

(8) If the electric eccentric ball valve in the use of the process found that there is a slight leakage at the packing, you can slightly tighten the stem nut, tight to stop the leakage, can not continue to tighten.

Maintenance details

1. Remove the pressure before and after the ball valve, and then disassemble the ball valve. It is necessary to tighten the bolts symmetrically, gradually and evenly when the valve body of ball valve is re installed.

2. The cleaning agent shall be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium (such as gas) in the ball valve.

3. When the working medium is gas, gasoline (gb484-89) can be used to clean metal parts. Non metallic parts are cleaned with pure water or alcohol.

4. Individual parts can be cleaned by immersion. The non-metallic parts shall be taken out from the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, and shall not be soaked for a long time.

5. After cleaning, it needs to be installed after the washing agent evaporates, but it should not be put aside for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust.

6. Clean new parts before installation. During installation, it is not allowed to have metal debris, fiber, grease (outside) dust, other impurities, foreign bodies and other pollution, adhesion or stay on the surface of parts or enter the cavity.
